Welcome to the art of modern oil portrait painting. The first step is to decide if the portrait will be based on a sitting session or on one of your favorite photographs. In the first case the choice of clothing and position is decided during the photo session made by the artist. The next step is determine the size of the face and the size of the painting. The process of paiting takes three months and before the final touches are made family members are invited to view the portrait and offer their input.

 

Portrait painting takes 2-3 months for a single subject, depending on the size. The price is based on the number of people in the painting, the position of subject, the size of the portrait, the inclusion of intricate clothing, complex background settings and the addition of props or animals.
